Roulette: the basics
A roulette wheel has numbered pockets, plus a zero; American-style wheels add a second zero, which increases the house edge. You bet on where the ball will land.
- Inside bets cover a single number or a small group of numbers. They pay more but hit less often.
- Outside bets cover large groups, such as red or black, odd or even, or low (1–18) and high (19–36). They hit more often and pay less.

Blackjack: the basics

Baccarat: the basics
Baccarat is simpler than it looks. Two hands are dealt, Player and Banker, and you bet on which one will finish closer to 9, or on a Tie. Cards from 2 to 9 count at face value, tens and picture cards count as zero, and aces count as one. Only the last digit of a total matters, so 7 plus 8 gives 5.
Whether a third card is drawn is decided by fixed rules; you do not make any decisions after placing your bet. That makes baccarat very easy to follow, but it also means rounds move quickly. Banker bets usually carry a commission on wins, and the Tie bet pays more but lands rarely. Check the table's own payout information.
